Reduced production at Husky Energy’s refinery in Prince George has resulted in some Northern BC gas supply issues.
Husky says production is at about 50 percent of normal levels due to a power failure late last month.
The company says repairs on a piece of damaged equipment are underway, but supplies have been down and affecting some gas stations.
Kyah Food and Fuel in Witset has been without gas for its pumps since yesterday, but is hoping to have a delivery by Wednesday.
Reports from Prince George indicate at least one station selling premium fuel for the price of regular as tanks run dry.
Husky says repairs are not expected to be lengthy, but it may take some time to get fuel supplies back to normal levels.
For now, it says it is bringing in more supplies from the Lower Mainland to address gas shortages.
