The University Hospital of Northern BC has begun work on a new inpatient unit.
IDL projects is constructing the new unit which will feature added inpatient rooms, an exercise lab, dining area, lounge, and a new 24 bed unit.
The new unit will follow a rehabilitative care approach to improve physical strength, mobility, and the ability to perform daily abilities.
Funding for the project, to a total of 8 million dollars, comes from the Ministry of Health and the Fraser Fort George Regional Hospital District.
