Evidence of a grizzly bear has one trail near Terrace closed off to the public.
The Gunsight Trail, south of Terrace, was closed Thursday morning after the apparent discovery of a grizzly bear guarding a moose carcass.
The BC Conservation Service says it is far more likely that a bear will attack if they are already guarding their kills.
As a result the trail has been closed, and the closure is expected to last for aprroximately one week.
