Lee Brain says he’ll be seeking a second term as Prince Rupert mayor.
Brain made it official on his Facebook page Tuesday afternoon, saying he made the decision to run again after some “careful consideration”.
Brain touted the work to clean up and redevelop Watson Island and attract new investment, but he adds there are more challenges ahead for the city as it seeks to invest in infrastructure.
Nominations for candidates running for mayor, council, and school board opened September 4th.
Municipal elections are set for October 20th.
