As municipal elections get in to full swing, one position in Prince Rupert has already been settled.
On Friday, Mayor Lee Brain was officially re-elected as Mayor of Prince Rupert after no other candidates stepped forward to challenge the incumbent.
Brain was officially elected by acclamation Friday evening after the passing of the official withdraw date.
Election season is just getting underway in Prince Rupert however, as eight residents have put their names forward to fill six council seats come the October 20th election.
