Angela Wesley has been appointed as the newest Commissioner of the BC Treaty Commission.
Wesley takes over for retiring Commissioner Tom Happynook, who had filled the role for the last 4 years.
Wesley brings with her a wealth of experience, having played a key role in numerous negotiations with First Nations on behalf of both BC and Canada in the past, as well as serving as Speaker in the Huu-ay-aht Legislature.
The appointment is for a 2 year term.
