Haida Gwaii could get a significant amount of snow.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the region with 15 to 20 cm of snow in the forecast.
Forecasters say cold arctic air flowing out of the mainland inlets of the North Coast is crossing Hecate Strait, generating snowsquall activity over Haida Gwaii until late Sunday afternoon.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
