Terrace City Council now has a new representative on the Land and Resource Management Plan Implementation Committee.
Councillor Lynne Christiansen offered to fill the role following a presentation by Committee rep Norm Parry on Monday.
Parry offered council an update on the Kalum Land Resource Management Plan, which was originally approved in 2002, and implemented in 2005.
It is the role of the Committee to provide policy direction for all resources from more than 2.2 million hectares of land, centred around Terrace and Kitimat.
There are 17 seats total at the table, with 4 of those being local government seats.
Terrace Council has not had a representative on the Committee since former Councillor Michael Prevost’s departure in October.
