Port Edward will be on the lookout for a new Chief Administrative Officer following the resignation of current CAO Bob Payette.
Payette has served in the role since December of 2014, and has overseen a number of economic boosts for the District.
Under Payette, Port Edward has seen upgraded sewage and water lines, a new senior’s centre, and a number of railway upgrades.
But, by far, Payette’s most prestigious accomplishment was a 25 year tax agreement signed with Pacific Northwest LNG worth roughly 150 million dollars.
Payette will be moving to Southern Alberta to be closer to family.
A posting is expected to be put up by the District in the coming days.
