Warm spring weather is drawing many people out into the sun, but those with breathing difficulties may want to stay in.
The snow melt and dry conditions have revealed gravel and sand which has kicked up plenty of dust in northern B.C. communities.
A combination of dust and air quality advisories has been issued in Quesnel, Prince George, Burns Lake, Houston, Smithers, and Fort St. John.
Those with underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous exercise until conditions improve.
Dust levels tend to be the highest around busy roads and industry.
The dusty conditions are expected to hang around until there’s some precipitation or dust suppression work.
