For residents of Prince Rupert, April will now be known as Sustainability Month.
City Council unanimously voted to approve the designation following a presentation from Transition Prince Rupert last week.
Now, Transition Prince Rupert has rolled out a roster of programming for the month to celebrate.
On April 12th at 7:00 in the evening, the Lester Centre will be hosting Addicted to Plastic Documentary night.
Tickets for that will be 5 dollars for students and 10 dollars for adults, with proceeds going towards a mural for the School District.
On April 14th, the Annual Rubbish Roundup will take place at various locations, beginning at 2:00 and running for 2 hours.
And on April 27th the Plant and Flower Market collab with the Prince Rupert Garden Society will take place at the Sunken Garden from 10 am to 2:00.
In addition, the Green Business Pledge has also been launched this month.
