Nearly 4 million dollars in additional investments announced today continue to show the province’s commitment to improving child care.
Adding to the more than 2 million dollars in early childhood education bursaries awarded last fall, BC will hand out another 1.9 million dollars worth.
Thanks to investments from the Early Learning and Child Care Agreement with the Federal Government, the money will help students pursue an in-demand career.
Another 1.8 million dollar investment will fund an evaluation in to the province’s early care and learning strategy.
That evaluation will be overseen by a diverse committee of early care and learning partners, and will be managed by ECEBC.
All of these investments come in addition to more than 10 million dollars in ECE support funds already announced.
