BC’s Liberals have taken aim at a forestry bill introduced by Premier John Horgan and his NDPs.
In statement released last night, the Liberals claim that Bill 22 creates division within the forestry sector and will lead to jobs being lossed to the United States.
If passed, Bill 22 would require forest companies to obtain approval from the Forests Minister before transferring or cancelling tenure agreements.
Forests Minister Doug Donaldson says the Bill will help promote diversity and make things easier on local forest companies.
