Northcoast MLA Jennifer Rice is disappointed by Senate Committee recommendations to drop Bill C-48, but wants her constituents to know there is still hope.
Rice says she still has hope that the Senate will listen to those most impacted by the Bill and vote against the recommendation.
Bill C-48 aims to bar all oil tankers carrying more than 12,500 tonnes of crude oil from travelling along BC’s coast.
Rice says if the Senate votes against the Bill, not only are they voting against the will of 67 percent of the House, but also against that of most coastal First Nations.
