British Columbia is investing 760 thousand dollars in to innitiatives aimed at preventing and responding to sexual violence at college campuses.
Part of that investment is in a closed-door forum, running today and tomorrow, which will bring together more than 120 students, faculty, and community reps.
Participants in the forums will share experiences, discuss issues, and learn about available support tools.
Also supported by the funding are a number of co-ordinated programs and resources that allow institutions to share best practices and training resources.
Student outreach programs, surveys, and new “plain language” policies will also be supported by the funding.
