Dozens of North Coast Raptors fans turned out to watch game 5 of the NBA final at the Civic Centre Arena Monday night.
The City of Prince Rupert opened up the venue so that fans could watch the big game on the big screen.
Some billed it as Canada’s westernmost viewing party, while other Jurassic Park-style events were held in Brazil, Japan, and the Philippines.
Raptors fans, including the the 60 or 70 who gathered in Prince Rupert, didn’t get the result they wanted.
Although the Raptors came back to take the lead in the fourth quarter, they eventually lost to the Warriors 106-105.
Toronto takes a 3-2 series lead back to Oakland, California for game 6 Thursday.
