A meeting between residents and major forestry companies in Clearwater last night got predictably heated.
That is according to Clearwater Mayor Merlin Blackwell, who also says a number of good ideas came out of the meeting.
Residents met with representatives from forestry giants Canfor and Interfor to discuss how to better bolster the forestry sector.
Blackwell says Interfor, who are leading the consultations, are likely to hold another meeting next month to discus the future of forestry in the Thompson Valley.
