The Cariboo Regional District says the latest information about flooding in the Chilcotin west of Williams Lake has allowed officials to scale back damage estimates.
Earlier information put the number of impacted properties as high as 120 after several tributaries of the Chilcotin burst their banks after heavy rain earlier this month.
The CRD says 47 properties have reported damage from the flooding, including 18 homes, 23 ranches, and six tourism operations.
Spokesperson Emily Epp says damage to the homes is minimal while hayfields, irrigation channels, driveways, and fencing took a heavy hit.
A meeting to update residents about flood-related information and road repairs is scheduled for Saturday in Big Creek.
The B.C. government announced this week that eligible flood victims could apply for Disaster Financial Assistance.
