The City of Terrace has cut down a tree that stood fo over 100 years in its downtown core.
The tree at the corner of Lakelse Avenue and Emerson Street was planted in 1915 by city founder George Little.
The city says the tree was cut down over safety concerns, but did not specify what the issue was.
Anyone who wants to collect pieces of the tree can contact the Sportsplex Administration for more information at 250-615-3000.
