An application for a retail marijuana store has been approved by Terrace City Council.
Quantum One is looking to occupy the empty space two doors down from Subway.
A public input meeting was held on October 15th and no concerns were raised by the city or by local business owners.
According to the Quantum One report on the City of Terrace website Canada’s legal cannabis market will hit $7.8 billion in 2022.
From October 2018 to the end of March 2019, Ottawa and the provinces made $186 million from various taxes on
cannabis.
The store will have trained knowledgeable staff hired locally as well as 24 hour safety surveillance.
