A heavy blanket of snow has prompted a travel advisory for Highway 16 outside Terrace.
The transportation ministry is advising drivers to travel with caution or consider alternate plans if they need to go east or west of the city.
Officials say heavy snow has caused limited visibility from 50 km east of Terrace to 65 km west of the city.
