Coastal GasLink has released a statement following the enforcement of an injunction.
CGL has said that they are disappointed that enforcement was required to re-open the Morice River Forest Service Rd. They plan to continue to try to engage with the Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs and with the Unist’ot’en.
This week will see the recommencement of construction in Wet’suwet’en territory and the return of work for many members of the Wet’suwet’en community. Members of the Wet’suwet’en community will be heavily involved in the upcoming Spring and Summer construction programs and the coming years as the project advances.
Coastal GasLink will continue progressing towards Indigenous communities becomeing equity owners in their project.
