Crews are set to start working in the coming weeks on Highway 16.
There will be new and improved traffic lanes west of Burns Lake. The project will improve safety as people travel through the area.

The $15-million project will include construction of a two-kilometre westbound passing lane, extension of the eastbound passing lane by 400 metres, and improvements to the entry and exit lanes to the brake check and chain off areas at 6 Mile Summit. The new lanes are expected to be completed by fall of 2021.
