This evening is a special Orange Shirt Day episode, and a chance to hear the story of an Indian Residential School Survivor who’s gone on to face her own traumas, and spent a lot of her time helping others in their healing journeys as well.
Prince Rupert’s Louisa Smith has been working for decades to dismantle the trauma caused by part of Canada’s dark past, and continues her work to this day. She’s an activist and mother, a survivor and community-minded woman who is brave when sharing her own story, which is exactly what she did for this podcast…
***I do want to warn you ahead of listening, that this interview could be triggering for some people, as she describes her experiences as a child in raw terms.***
