A new grant being advertised on Facebook recently grabbed my attention, so I thought I’d dig a little further.
It led me to Jennifer Botica, co-owner of Kleanza Consulting, a female owned and managed archaeology venture that focuses on heritage and provides education and community engagement.
They’re also champions for the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, which Jenny says is incorporated into everything they take on.
The grant I mentioned is called the Indigenous Voices Grant, and it is currently accepting applications until October 31st, 2020 and can be applied for at Kleanza.com.
In our interview, Jennifer explains the grant in detail, and shares how her, and her business partner, are working to better themselves in the archaeology field and challenge others to do the same.
