This evening’s guest is CBC investigative journalist, international artist and author Angela Sterritt, a woman with many talents, and an obvious life-long passion for storytelling.
Angela is Gitxsan, and has deep ties to her culture thanks to the teachings of her father, who, since she was a young girl, told her stories of the nation’s politics.
From her TED Talk, to her award winning documentaries, Angela paints vivid pictures of Indigenous life in a way that may not have been common even just a few years ago.
It’s precisely why I confused her simply doing her job as a reporter, as activism…a mistake that she tells me many make. We’ll discuss that and more in this episode of Journeys.
