Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach is expressing his disappointment following a vote for the NDP’s Canada Pharmacare Act.
The act was voted against today which would provide universal pharmacare to all Canadians. Bachrach says the decision is incredibly disappointing for residents in the Northwest and across the country who are struggling to afford prescription drugs.
Despite having universal health care Canada still does not have universal coverage of prescription drugs. Bachrach says in a statement that he will continue to focus on ensuring that every Canadian can access basic medications.
