The BCCDC has released their weekly Covid-19 data for March 7 to March 13.
The Northern Health Region continues to see a drop in numbers. Terrace saw a significant drop in cases in this period recording 23 cases, a drop from 53 cases last week. Prince Rupert saw a slight increase from the previous week reporting 117 cases. Prince Rupert is currently undergoing vaccination of the entire city to help slow the spread of the virus.
Elsewhere in the north, Haida Gwaii recorded 9 cases, Kitimat recorded 11 cases, Smithers 2, Burns Lake 2 and Nechako 4. Prince George’s cases remain lower at 33 cases for this time period. Surrey remains the hotspot in the province at 925 Covid-19 cases over this week period.
