The Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training says classes at B-C’s colleges and universities should look more normal this fall than at any point since March of last year.
A statement from the ministry says it is supporting post-secondary institutions as they resume in-person learning in September.
The ministry says it has provided return-to-campus guidelines that end the focus on COVID-19 safety plans and instead call for development of communicable disease plans to cut the risk of spreading any respiratory illness, including COVID-19.
The guidelines highlight the importance of measures such as daily health checks and hand hygiene, as well as classroom logistics and on-campus student housing and dining services — which are expected to return to near capacity in September.
