Coastal GasLink says it has fully completed its first facility as part of the project to build a natural gas pipeline from Dawson Creek to Kitimat in northern B-C.
An update from the company says the Kitimat meter station near the western end of the 670-kilometre pipeline was completed and opened last month.
It says more workers have been hired and more pipe has been laid along many sections of the project that was at the centre of nationwide protests early last year.
Once complete, the pipeline would carry natural gas to Kitimat — part of the 40-billion-dollar L-N-G Canada project to receive, liquefy and ship L-N-G to overseas customers by 2025.
