Hope Air, the only Canadian charity that provides flights and accommodations for those in financial need who need to travel for medical care far from home, announced earlier today that Coastal Gaslink and LNG Canada will each be donating $10,000 to the charity to make it so northern BC citizens have access to important medical services.
These donations will help patients from communities such as Kitimat, Terrace, Smithers, Prince Rupert and Prince George get to medical treatment centres in Vancouver.
This joint commitment from the 2 companies will provide approximately 80 medical flights and accommodations for people in both financial and medical need.
Hope Air also said in their press release that Coastal GasLink and LNG Canada’s gifts will help improve both the health and quality of life for people that live in the cities and towns where they are working on their respective projects, and aligns with both companies’ values of giving back to the communities they work with.
