An overdose advisory has been issued for the Northern BC area by Northern Health due to some unregulated substances being sold in the area as Heroin.
In addition to these substances being sold in the area, this advisory has been sent out due to there being an increase in overdoses in both the Terrace and Smithers areas.
Northern Health sent out a statement earlier today saying that this particular substance causing these problems is a deep crystal blue one that becomes purple when it gets cooked.
Northern Health also stated that their aim is to get every overdose advisory out within 12 to 24 hours of them first receiving info about a harmful substance. The information that they have on the blue substance that is currently high profile, was given to them on Tuesday Morning.
