Four northern post-secondary schools are among 20 receiving fresh provincial funding for new trades equipment.
Coast Mountain College, the College of New Caledonia, Northern Lights College, and Thompson Rivers University, will each benefit from up to 150 thousand dollars.
Funding will go towards equipment to improve trades education in programs relating to: automotive, carpentry, welding, heavy machinery, pipe work, computer technicians, graphic design, and more.
You can find a list of all schools receiving funding and how they intend to use it at this link.
With the new funds, schools should be able to replace obsolete equipment, and require state-of-the-art technology which will be most relevant to future workplaces.
