ICBC launched their annual winter impaired driving education campaign today.
On average, 65 people die in crashes involving impaired driving in BC each year, 22 percent of all car crash fatalities.
If you are caught driving impaired, you could face driving suspensions of up to 90 days, vehicle impoundment, fines of up to 4 thousand dollars, jail time, and more.
ICBC is asking drivers to plan ahead if they will be drinking and arrange an alternate form of transportation.
They will be sharing information throughout the month on social media, using the hashtag #GetHomeSafeBC.
