Fire crews in Prince Rupert were called in to the frigid night to deal with an apartment fire last night.
At around 7:00, fire crews attended a blaze at the Angus Apartments at 1127 Second Avenue West.
According to those on scene, the fire started in a ground floor unit, and crews were forced to extinguish it through a window.
One resident was even seen jumping from the second floor to escape the blaze, though paramedics say he suffered no injuries from the fall.
A lack of accessibility aids meant some residents with mobility issues had to be carried out of the apartment.
Two suites were damaged by the fire, and no residents were injured as a result, though one fire fighter did suffer a hand injury.
As of this moment, the cause of the fire is unknown.
