A new proposal would see all high school students in BC be required to undertake Indigenous education.
Under the proposal, students would need to acquire 4 credits through Indigenous-focused courses, in order to graduate.
Plans are for the curriculum change to come in to effect for the 2023-24 school year, covering public, independant, and off-shore schools.
New courses will be introduced to compliment existing courses and create a variety of courses to choose from.
