That investment will see a total of 830 million dollars invested in to bringing high-speed service to rural, remote, and Indigenous communities.
But, Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Development, Roly Russell, says for many communities, the investment is about more than just money.
Russell says the province will also work with internet service providers to find ways to deliver their service.
As service providers are required to actually deliver internet to households, residents can be left out if their provider cannot utilize the infrastructure.
But Russell says the government will help break down barriers so that all providers will have an opportunity to take advantage of the investment.
