Three northern communities will be able to better combat discrimination, and enhance diversity, thanks to new provincial funding.
Four organizations from those communities are among 60 province-wide benefiting from the BC Multiculturalism Grants Program.
In Dawson Creek, the Literacy Society will put on a diversity celebration with the Lakeview Learning Centre.
Also in Dawson Creek, the Kiwanis Arts Centre Society gets funding to help transform the centre in to a more inclusive space.
In 100 Mile House, the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre Society will receive funding for a Secwepemctsin language preservation and story telling art series.
And the Canadian Mental Health Association of Northern BC, located in Prince George, will get funding to send staff to an inclusive Indigenous training course.
