Prince Rupert RCMP are asking for the victim of a January incident to come forward to assist their investigation.
In the early hours of New Years day, police were called on to look into an incident on McBride Street.
Officers interviewed multiple witnesses before conducting patrols which resulted in the arrest of one man on unrelated charges.
But, through witness statements and forensic analysis, police were able to identify that same man as the suspect of the initial incident.
RCMP were unable, however, to get in contact with the victim, who witnesses say fled the scene before they arrived.
Now, police are asking for the victim, or anyone with information, to contact them at 250 627 0700.
