RCMP are seeking public assistance to locate a man wanted on multiple warrants in Terrace and Prince Rupert, all stemming from an incident in April.
At around 8:30 at night on April 3rd, police received reports of a man driving dangerously near the Port Edward turn-off, after crashing into and knocking over a light pole.
Later, police observed the same vehicle driving well above the speed limit, but when they attempted to pull it over, the driver fled onto Highway 16.
Officers located the vehicle stopped along the highway twice more that night, but it fled dangerously both times when they approached.
Eventually, they were able to apprehend the driver after the vehicle broke down near the Khyex River Bridge.
They then found the vehicle’s driver, 31 year-old Nickolas William Ferguson, to be over double the legal blood alcohol limit.
But, after being released pending charges, police are now looking to locate Ferguson again on related warrants, as well as additional ones for driving while prohibited.
Anyone with information which may help locate him is asked to contact Prince Rupert RCMP at 250 624 2136.
