Two new wildfires which popped up in the Northwest Fire Centre yesterday are listed as lightning caused, and remain relatively small.
One is located near the Cranberry Junction, north of Highway 37 along the Borden Lake Forest Service Road.
Another is burning near Smithers, north of Frederick Lake along Jollymore Road.
Both are covering less than a hectare for the time being, though they are also still listed as new by the Wildfire Service.
Meanwhile, two small fires burning near Mount Edziza Provincial Park are still listed as out of control.
Those fires are located at the confluence of the Stikine and Deeker Creek, and southwest of Highway 37, near Bob Quinn Lake.
At the moment, neither are threatening any homes or infrastructure.
