A Boil Water Notice has been issued for users of the Lac La Hache water system in the Cariboo.
Interior Health issued the advisory after recent sampling revealed the presence of Coliform in the system.
Currently, the Cariboo Regional District is working with the Authority to find the source of the contamination and a solution for it.
In the meantime, residents are advised to use purchased or bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, dish washing, preparing food, or making ice.
If you do need to use tap water, you should boil it for at least one minute, then allow to cool down before use.
The advisory will remain in place until Interior Health is confident the supply is safe.
