In terms of wildfires that are taking place in the Northwest Fire Centre, only a little bit has really changed since yesterday.
The number of fires currently burning in the Centre is still 15 and 9 are listed as out of control, up from 7 during the previous week.
Two small lightning caused fires are burning south of Tesla Lake, near Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, while six more are burning just north of there near Watuk Lake, St Thomas Bay, and the Nechako Reservoir near Tahtsa Lake.
The fire that appeared near Cummin Creek is still listed as out of control and has grown to cover 257 hectares and another somewhat new fire near Pondosy Bay has also been upgraded to out of control despite being much smaller than the Cummin Creek fire.
One other fire that is not as new, the one north of Blue River, has once again been listed as out of control and is currently listed as covering 12,330 hectares.
