In terms of wildfires that are taking place in the Northwest Fire Centre, the number of fires has been steadily decreasing over the past couple of days.
The number of fires currently burning in the Centre is down to 13 but 9 are still currently listed as out of control.
Two small lightning caused fires are burning south of Tesla Lake, near Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, while six more are burning just north of there near Watuk Lake, St Thomas Bay, and the Nechako Reservoir near Tahtsa Lake.
The fire that appeared near Cummin Creek is still listed as out of control and has grown to cover 330 hectares and another slightly newer fire near Pondosy Bay has also been upgraded to out of control despite being much smaller than the Cummin Creek fire.
One other fire that is not as new, the one north of Blue River, has once again been listed as out of control and is currently listed as covering 12,330 hectares.
