A pair of evacuation orders and alerts remain in place in the Northeast, with two of the province’s three wildfires of note burning in the Prince George Fire Centre.
An evacuation order is covering an area west of Hudson’s Hope, with the lightning-caused Battleship Mountain blaze now covering more than 13,000 hectares.
However, another evacuation alert in the nearby area has been lifted with a different nearby wildfire now being listed as under control.
That fire is located just south of Dinosaur Lake, is also lightning caused, and is covering roughly 3 hectares.
The other fire of note is burning east of Tumbler Ridge, covering over 6,000 hectares near Bearhole Lake Provincial Park.
There is one out-of-control wildfire in the Northwest Fire Centre, covering 330 hectares between Whitesail Lake and the Nechako Reservoir.
