Three northern companies are among 8 individuals and organizations being honoured with Indigenous Business Awards this year.
Handed out annually by the BC Achievement Foundation, the Awards honour the excellence and successes of Indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses.
Recognized for their leadership and growth, Dawson Creek-based Dark Arc Welding is this year’s winner in the Young Entrepreneur category.
Takla Lake’s Sasuchan Development Corporation gets the nod in the Community-Owned Multi-Entity category for supporting the Takla Nation in achieving self-reliance and prosperity.
And Williams Lake-based joint-venture Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation gets honoured in the Partnership of the Year category for their work in sustainable and cultural forest management.
