For the third consecutive year, Quensel’s Forestry Initiatives program will be hosting the UBC Master of International Forestry field school.
16 students along with their professors will have a chance to spend 2 days in Quesnel and have the opportunity to speak with the likes of land managers, small businesses, government reps from the local First Nations, the municipality, and the provincial government as well as industry experts.
These conversations as well as the rest of the program will allow these students to get a better understanding of the relationships between people and forests and how these influence regional economic development and ecological sustainability.
2022 MIF students are expected to come from a variety of backgrounds and countries like China, India, Cameroon, El Salvador, Canada and more.
