Applications for funding to increase access to free menstrual products have been recently made available by the Provincial Government.
Funding grants of up to $25,000 can be given out to each charity, non-profit and independent researcher for a community-based, short-term, pilot project that looks for ways to increase access to free menstrual products in BC.
$220,000 in total is available to be handed out by United Way British Columbia and applications can be handed in up until November 7th.
These products have also been available to BC students in bathrooms since 2019.
