Today is the last day to submit comments to the Environmental Assessment Office on the Cedar LNG project, proposed for Kitimat.
If approved, the floating LNG facility and marine export terminal would be located directly across the Douglas Channel from Kitamaat Village.
It would be capable of processing up to 3 million tonnes of liquid natural gas per year, and would include storage capacity for 250,000 cubic metres.
Haisla Nation majority-owned partnership, Cedar LNG Partners LP, submitted their application for an environmental assessment certificate in February.
On September 21st, the EAO opened their public comment period, which is set to close at midnight tonight.
You can follow this link for more information on the project, and where to submit comments.
