Five individuals were arrested after police uncovered several firearms while executing a search warrant in Quesnel yesterday.
Quesnel RCMP were joined by members of the North District Major Crimes Unit to execute the warrant on the 600 block of Fir Street at around 2:00 in the afternoon.
Police were forced to employ diversionary tactics to get the occupants to leave, after some refused to comply with their orders to do so.
Numerous firearms were located inside the residence, seven of which were seized by police during the search.
Three men and two women were taken into custody as a result, though four were later released pending further investigation.
A 44 year-old man remains in custody and is awaiting a court appearance.
